Launch of the 2017 Calendar of Events

Thursday 23rd March, 2017 - the reveal of the new Ballarat Arts Foundation website, alongside the launch of the 2017 calendar of events. Held in the Humffray Room of the Ballarat Mechanics Institute, this was a celebration of the past 15 years of alumni and their successes. Powerfully emotional presentations were given by alumni of the Foundation - Bryce Ives, Felicity Liston, Josh Woods and Tobias Madden.

The repeating theme of the event was the celebration of the role of the Ballarat Arts Foundation in 'planting the seed' for young emerging artists within the Ballarat region. Many spoke on the fact that years after investment is made in a young person, there is no telling how far they will travel. However what is critical is that first investment, the first gift of confidence.

The Ballarat Arts Foundation is proud to support a wide community of alumni, and now hopes to continue tracking their work through the creation of the Alumni Central portal. The grant application form is now available online, with the grant round opening in June 2017.
