Update from the Isle of Skye...

Detail of a new work-in-progress.

Detail of a new work-in-progress.

My time is almost up here on the Isle of Skye (An t-Eilean Sgitheanach); I am about to pack up my studio and head homewards with a full heart and mind. This residency has been all about having the time and space to delve deeply into research and exploration, and over the coming months the wealth of material I have gathered will be consolidated into a new body of work.

It has been an incredibly rewarding experience to spend twelve weeks in this extraordinary part of the world. I have had to pinch myself every day - I must surely be one of the luckiest artists on the planet!

I will miss the wild and desolate beauty of this place, but it's time to come home.

Representation by Flinders Lane Gallery

I am absolutely thrilled to be formally represented by Flinders Lane Gallery!
It is such an honour to be joining so many wonderful and inspirational artists, and I am really excited to be working with the lovely FLG team.

A number of my works are now available in FLG's stockroom.
Please contact the gallery if you are interested in viewing or purchasing any of my work.

14th International Drawing Annual (INDA14)

I am very pleased that Denial is to be included in the 14th Annual Drawing Annual (INDA14) published by Manifest Research Galllery and Drawing Center, Ohio, USA. 1187 entries were received from 354 artists around the world, with 110 works by 66 artists to be included in the final publication.
The INDA14 book will be out in mid-2020.

This will be the third time I have been included in Manifest's highly acclaimed and beautifully presented Drawing Annuals, I also have work in the award-winning INDA5 and the INDA13.

2019 Lyn McCrea Memorial Drawing Prize

Two of my drawings have been selected for the Lyn McCrea Memorial Drawing Prize to be held at Noosa Regional Gallery. The prize is dedicated to the memory of the late Lyn McCrea (1944-2015), contemporary visual artist, art educator and art collector. It was established by John McCrea in 2015 to honour Lyn's passion for drawing as fundamental to visual arts practice, and aims to promote excellence in contemporary Australian drawing.
