This work re-imagines the Roman goddess Minerva as a contemporary embodiment of Pride, Consequence and Regret.

The black lace and marked skin speak to knowledge gained through experience and pain, while the spider alludes to Arachne’s myth: the tension between creation and consequence, vanity and humility.

Set against a turbulent sky, she becomes both the weaver and the storm; an emblem of of controlled intensity and silent defiance.

This portrait explores the enduring presence of myth in modern identity and the quiet ruthlessness of power
