Traditional Japanese artisanal practices have their foundations in sustainability, as well as the mindful attention to beauty and quality. Time, process, aesthetics and mastery sustain culture and craft excellence. The past offers learning and wisdom for the future. This philosophy is also present in the traditional Japanese approach to cultivation and preservation of the environment. The tea plantation is a living artwork, a symbiotic collaboration between man and nature – a sculptural composition that expresses sustainable human activity, harmony and the art of living together.
