The Ellinor Morcom Scholarships are awarded to students from the Ballarat area, in any Faculty of the University of Melbourne, residing at Ormond College.
They honour a significant contributor to the arts community of Ballarat especially in music from funds given in her estate and by local donors.
The Foundation does not provide funds for these Scholarships, but promotes them to the wider community.
Applications for the Ellinor Morcom Scholarship close in mid-February each year, and are announced at the Commencement Dinner shortly afterwards.

Ann Badger Director of College Advancement at Ormond College says:
"The generosity of the late Ellinor Morcom and the Ballarat community in providing these scholarship funds enables a wide range of individuals and talents to be supported and nurtured. This financial support has proved increasingly important in recent years with growing economic pressures - particularly for rural students - and the rising cost of tertiary education.
We look forward to continued liaison with the Ballarat Arts Foundation".
